Happy Anniversary!

Marty and I celebrated our eighth anniversary yesterday. It's hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I guess it's just a testament to how much I love my life and my family. It makes the time fly.

As with every day, I spent the day with the boys. We went to the mall. Jacob's new passion is Webkinz. I think it's rather silly, but he loves Webkinz. Since we were at the mall, we had to go to the Hallmark store, which is one of the few places where Webkinz are sold. They had reindeer for half price, so I bought one for Jake and one for Ben. Jake name his reindeer Blitzen. He has two other animals, both cats, and he named them Pootie-tat and Stinky-tat. He has been packing those things all around the house. He even had to feed them a "bottle" and put them down for a nap on the back of the couch. When Marty and I got home from our anniversary dinner tonight, Jake had the Webkinz slumbering on one of the Christmas tree limbs. He is so cute!

Ben has been my shadow. Where I go, he goes. I cannot do anything in private if he is awake. But I don't mind. I love that little guy so much. My boys are my heart. Marty and I didn't think we would ever be able to have one , much less two kids. We are truly blessed.

What did Marty get me? He got me two new lamps. Now I need to buy a new side table and coffee table for them. We also bought a new water softener today. The one we had was shot, even though it was six years old. The plumber/technician said it was do to our super-hard water and some pressure control valve was shot at the main water shut-off. The water is supposed to be at 50 lbs of pressure, and ours was 120! It's times like these when I hate being an adult. Oh well, luckily work is super busy; I signed up to work a few extra shifts to pay for it.

As I mentioned earlier, we went to to a Japanese steakhouse tonight. This couple brought their four kids to reward their good school grades. One of the kids ordered lobster, and didn't even eat it. I told Marty that I was lucky if my parents took me to McDonald's at the end of the year for good grades. How times have changed!

Anyway, here are some pictures of Jake's new-found Webkinz hobby. Enjoy!!
