My favorite two goblins had a wonderful Halloween this year. All the fun actually started for Jacob in the late afternoon. He was with Aunt Kellie when he lost his first tooth. He was quite excited until he saw blood, and then he went into his dramatic crying routine. I couldn't find the camera in time to document hysterics with pictures. By the time I had my camera in hand, he was all smiles. Great-grandma Kreutzer was even here to witness the blessed event.
Jacob was so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come that he even got his own bed ready at 5:29 pm. I know! Mr. "I don't want to go to bed" was ready for bed before Trick-or-Treating!
After all the tooth drama and a yummy dinner made by your's truly, the kiddies got into their costumes and circled the hood for loot.

What's New
WARNING: This post is mainly for my family who lives everywhere from the east coast to the west coast. Enjoy the pictures.
Let's see. A lot has happened since I last posted, but nothing super exciting. The Asay boys remain the cutest ever in my opinion. The last picture in this set has a funny story. We had put Jacob to bed at 8:00. He didn't want to go to bed (the usual). Well, at 10:00 as Marty and I were going to bed, we checked on the slumbering angels. Ben was hunkered down in his crib among his 5 or six cozy blankets. And Jacob, who is the solid sleeper of the two, was no where to be found in his room. Not in his bed, not on his floor, not in my bed, not in Kellie's bed. Not in the basement, not in the guest bedrooms. Marty, Kellie and I searched the house. I was freaking out, thinking back to Elizabeth Smart being snatched from her room in the middle of the night. I don't know why, I just felt I needed to look in my closet, and that's where I found my clever little angel, fast asleep. I love that boy!
On Labor Day, we took the boys on a hike with Jodi and Don and their girls. The kids and parents had a lot of fun. I also made some homemade blackberry jam and raspberry jam. FYI, Marty has never had blackberry jam before. Now it's his favorite.
Here are the boys being adorably messy while eating breakfast or something. I just love them. Can you tell?
This is a funny picture. We were in the waiting room last week waiting for Jake to get his cast off. This is a lovely couple also waiting. Which is which? Husband or wife?
Jacob finally got his stinky cast off. He went through two casts in seven weeks. I let him keep his first cast, but I refused to let him keep the second. Gosh those things were stinky!
Finally, here are some much-requested pictures of me. In fact, just this afternoon my mom said she wanted to see some pictures of me. We just happened to get our family pictures taken today by an awesome professional photographer. We won't have those for 1-2 weeks. I had my sister Kellie take some pictures of us when we got home this evening. I hope they're worth the wait.
