Just Chillaxin'

Here are my two favorite boys watching one of their favorite movies "Home Alone." I snapped these pictures right before coming downstairs to blog. Poor Ben has been running a high fever and has that wicked croupy cough. Mama's poor baby. Of course, he looks pretty happy in this picture. He's not too interested in food, so I relented and let him eat his favorites: cashews and dried blueberries. It can't be too bad, right? I mean he's got the protein and fruit category covered. AND he's washing it all down with his sippy cup of H2O.

Another Post For Kim

Kim, I have been spending time and money again at your favorite store, Thai Pan. I love this store too. And when you combine my favorite holiday (Christmas) with my favorite store (Thai Pan), wonderful things happen.

I'm not very artsy; my brain doesn't work that way. But I love to try my creative hand, however small it is, at decorating for the holidays. I don't have one of those cleverly decorated homes. You know the ones I'm talking about. They have the cute sayings done with vinyl letters on the walls. They have the Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn catalog look. I guess I'll get there one day, but for now, this is what I'm able to achieve on what little creative juices I have. And you know what -- I LOVE IT!

Mommy's Little Helper

I had the best little helper in the kitchen on Thanksgiving day. Ben just loves watching and helping anyone who is cooking. He climbs up on a bar stool and goes to town. I was making the topping for the Red Hot cinnamon apple jello. He of course had to lick the beaters before I put them in the dishwasher. He thought he was pretty important when he got to hold the mixer while I turned the bowl. What can I say. I'm a sucker for my sweet little baby. Anything he wants he gets (mostly)!

Let It Snow!

Well, we had our first snow a few weeks past. Of course Jacob LOVED the white fluffy stuff. Ben really had a blast with it this year. This is the first year he's been able to play in it; he was too young last year. I really enjoyed watching my two angels sled down our steep front yard into the cul-de-sac. Once I had Ben bundled up, he reminded me of the younger brother on "A Christmas Story" when he says "I can't put my arms down." What precious angels Marty and I have. I love them.

What Are You Thankful For?

I am thankful for many things. Foremost is my Savior, my wife, my healthy children and my family. I often wonder why I was so blessed to be born at the time I was born, and under such good circumstances!

What are you thankful for?

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ben

Ben, you are so delightful. I am so happy I am your mother. I love your energy, your spunk, your "silly eyes," your constant chatter when you get excited. I even love you when you make a mess all over the house.

You were such a quiet, sweet, and calm baby. Who knew you would turn into such a firecracker. We couldn't be happier to have you in our family. I love you!

Just for Kim

It is no secret that one of Kim Ashbaugh's favorite stores is Thai Pan in Clearfield. I must admit that I love it too. I told her that I had to buy a few things for my family room. She really wanted me to show her my purchases. Well, here they are. I wish they would build one in Florida so you could enjoy too!

Here are my sweet slumbering angels who decided to have a slumber party with dad while I was at work the other night. I wish I could have seen it for myself. I love these two angels!

Trick or Treat

My favorite two goblins had a wonderful Halloween this year. All the fun actually started for Jacob in the late afternoon. He was with Aunt Kellie when he lost his first tooth. He was quite excited until he saw blood, and then he went into his dramatic crying routine. I couldn't find the camera in time to document hysterics with pictures. By the time I had my camera in hand, he was all smiles. Great-grandma Kreutzer was even here to witness the blessed event.

Jacob was so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come that he even got his own bed ready at 5:29 pm. I know! Mr. "I don't want to go to bed" was ready for bed before Trick-or-Treating!

After all the tooth drama and a yummy dinner made by your's truly, the kiddies got into their costumes and circled the hood for loot.
